A no-cook overnight oats riff on tiramisu — rolled oats and chia seeds soaked in espresso, cocoa, vanilla, and honey-sweetened milk.

A make-ahead breakfast riff on tiramisu — espresso, cocoa, and vanilla soaked into oats and chia overnight.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1½ tbsp chia seeds
  • 3 tbsp espresso
  • 1¼ cups milk
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine: Add oats, cocoa powder, chia seeds, espresso, milk, maple syrup or honey, and vanilla to a jar or container. Stir well until cocoa powder is fully incorporated.

  2. Soak: Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.

  3. Serve: Stir before eating and top with a spoonful of vanilla yogurt. Add a splash more milk if it's thicker than you'd like.

Notes

  • A dusting of extra cocoa powder on top before serving leans further into the tiramisu vibe.
  • Use maple syrup with a non-dairy milk to keep it vegan.
  • For a richer texture, stir in a spoonful of mascarpone or Greek yogurt just before serving.
