Easy 5-Minute Gravy

An easy all-purpose 5-minute gravy recipe perfect for turkey, chicken, or beef. Use this method to make the most flavorful gravy ever!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chicken, beef, vegetable, or turkey stock
  • 2 beef or chicken bouillon cubes
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine stock and bouillon cubes in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 1 minute and stir. Repeat until bouillon dissolves completely.

  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add flour, onion powder, thyme, sage, and rosemary; cook for 1 minute.

  3. Slowly whisk in the prepared stock until smooth, then bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat to simmer and cook while whisking until thickened, approximately 1 minute.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve immediately.

Notes

If pan drippings are available, use those and add stock to reach 2 cups total.
